ECKware GmbH offers complete IT and telecommunications solutions for medium-sized companies.
One of the prominent projects in the company’s portfolio is Siedlerkarte - a loyalty and bonus program exclusively for residents of Munich's Werksviertel-Mitte district.
What’s unique about the program is that it’s not revenue driven. The goal is to provide rewarding experiences, improve the quality of life, and build a sense of belonging to the local community.
Here's how the team at ECKware GmbH uses Open Loyalty’s flexible loyalty engine to apply different loyalty and gamification mechanics to run the project.
"Open Loyalty offers a wide range of possibilities we can use to bring our ideas to life. I know that in the next two years we are going to introduce a lot of changes and I don’t need to switch the system."

The goal was to design a program for everyone who works in the Werksviertel-Mitte (8 hectares of the old/former industrial areas of the Pfanni works and ZĂĽndapp production halls converted into a modern district with about 5000/6000 residents) so that they want to stay and live in the area.
The main challenge is to integrate everyone into a closed-loop community where both residents and businesses benefit from each other and thrive.
The team at ECKware needed flexible loyalty technology to implement loyalty and gamification mechanics without the need to rely on external developers.
"The previous system was not flexible enough. We couldn’t customize the features. Open Loyalty offers a wide range of possibilities we can use to bring our ideas to life. I know that in the next two years we are going to introduce a lot of changes and I don’t need to switch the system."
